ah yes…  talk about overload!  it’s been another week of madness!  we got a folder of 150 photos from alicia’s trip to ashville, north carolina and another folder of photos from magnets that somehow reached new orleans!!  reviewing all of the photos has proven to be a major task, these magnets are so awesome!  we’re just going to start posting them and explain their origins…  get ready!  this set of magnets were all painted in ashville, nc…

it’s tuesday…  no big deal, our magnets get rocked everyday!  we’re still waiting for somebody to remix that 1980’s song ‘manic monday’ and flip it into ‘magnet monday’ - what a sweet theme song!  on to the magnets.

yesterday i met up with our friend, danny cash (the local hot sauce guru), and he introduced me to one of his clients on south broadway…  gary is the owner of mona’s, the s. broadway location is brand new, his other spot is on 15th and platte.  anyway, he and his wife made all of the tabletops for the new spot; colored concrete and glass gems and a stuff.  in one of these tabletops, gary put in a high powered magnet!  look at what his silverware does when on this table, sweet!  if you go to mona’s, tell gary we sent you, and you want to sit here.

here’s an impromptu magnet that i made from a page of a newyorker magazine…  i left it outside in the sun to dry and somebody tagged it with some evilish eyes and nostrils.  now it sort of reminds me of kaws one’s art, but whatever, it’s on it’s way to san diego right now!

approximately the next 2000 magnets we produce will have these cool labels on the back…  we’ve had other style labels, but these are pretty funny, for the ultra-hipsters!  cmyk x helvetica x mag/maf!  thanks danny-

ok, it’s pretty late and i’m tired, i’ll try to make this quick…  first fridays seem to just get better in denver, every time i go to a different gallery i am pleasantly surprised by something!
